Department Profile

The Department of Computer Applications was established in 1992 with the intention of offering outstanding education in the field of computer applications and improve the technical competence for mounting innovative solutions and new applications in the computer field. The Department has been offering MCA program from 1992 and BCA program from 2000 onwards. Our faculty members are dynamic, well experienced and they expose their expertise to the students about the latest technologies in the computer field. Our computer lab is well equipped with the higher end configurations and the required software with internet facility.


To construct a centre of excellence for the students, mould them to meet the present need of IT industry and attain academic excellence by continuous progress of the faculty through research activities.


To Make an effort to provide educational possibilities to all expectant youth to shine in life by means of inculcating academic excellence, promoting human values, creating social responsibility and constructing universal proficiency in a dynamic atmosphere.


  • To train the students so as to cater for the growing needs of various disciplines of Computer Science and Applications.
  • To enable them to explore and conceive new ideas, and be able to implement in real world applications.
  • To help them to improve critical thinking and problem-solving skills in students
  • To have a sense of ethical behavior and respect for diversity.
  • To support them to involve in research and development activities.
  • To achieve more than 90% university results in each semester and to obtain at least 2 ranks in the university.

  • Design and implement software systems that meet specified design and performance requirements

  • Apply advanced algorithmic and mathematical concepts to the design and analysis of software
