Awareness Seminar on Muthamizharignar Kalaignar's Centenary Celebration and Prize distribution Ceremony The Research Department of Tamil, Thanthai Hans Roever College (A), Perambalur organized an Awareness Seminar of the great Tamil scholar Kalaignar's Centenary Celebration and Prize distribution Ceremony on April 4,2025 at 11 am in the college A. V. E. hall. Dr. S. Sridhar, Assistant Professor, Department of Tamil, Government Arts College, Kurumbalur was the special guest of the event. He delivered a special speech on the topic 'The Principles and Practice of the Great Tamil Scholar Kalaignar'. In his keynote address, he elaborated on the Tamil works of the Muthamizh Arignar Kalaignar , a great scholar, his policies, and his efforts towards the development of Tamil. Chevalier Dr.K. Varadaraajan, Founder Chairman of Roever Group of Institutions, presided over the ceremony whereas Mr. John Ashok Varadaraajan, Vice-Chairman of Roever Group of Institutions led the ceremony. Dr.K.Ravichandran, Principal of the College and Dr.S. Sivakumar, Vice-Principal presented the felicitation address. Dr. K.Marudathurai, Dean of Arts and Dr.S.Manimaran, Dean of Science also graced the occasion with their presence. At the end of the ceremony, prizes were awarded to the students who participated in various competitions owing to the ceremony. Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Tamil Studies, Professor M. Thevar Selvam, and Assistant Professor Dr. V. Dhanalakshmi coordinated the event. Assistant Professor Dr. G.Subramanian delivered the welcome address. Assistant Professor Dr. T. Ramya expressed the gratitude address. Assistant Professor Dr. P. Senthilnathan hosted the event.
