Department of Commerce CA & CS organize a One Day International Seminar on " Business and Sustainability: Creating Synergy for Future". The Department of Commerce CA and CS successfully conducted the One-Day International Seminar on "Business and Sustainability: Creating Synergy for Future" at Thanthai Hans Roever College (Autonomous), Perambalur, on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at 10:00 AM in the college premises. Dr. K. Varadarajan, Founder and Chairman of the Roever Group of Institutions, presided over the function, while Vice Chairman Mr. John Ashok Varadarajan felicitated the program. The first session was led by Dr. S. S. Jeyaraj, Faculty of Accounting and Finance, Sino-British College (Affiliated with the University of Staffordshire, UK), Guangxi Minzu University, Guangxi Province, P. R. China. In his speech, he elaborated on how students can adapt to the stability, economic development, and environmental needs of our country to enhance relationships across artistic fields and improve workforce development. He also addressed and clarified the doubts raised by the students. The second session was featured by Dr. N.S. Sibu, Associate Professor, Department of Management Studies, Centre for Distance & Online Education, Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli. In his keynote address, he highlighted about the role of business in promoting sustainability, the benefits of sustainable practices that companies implementing into their operations. The event was graced by Dr. S. Sivakumar (Principal i/c), Dr. K. Maruthadurai (Dean of Arts) and Dr. S. Manimaran, Dean of Science who also shared their insights. The welcome address was delivered by Dr. Sumathi Franklin, Head of the Department of Commerce Computer Applications, while Assistant Professor Mrs. S. Maria introduced the special guests. The vote of thanks was given by Assistant Professor K. Anitha. Over 200 students from the department participated and benefited from the event. The arrangements for the seminar were skillfully managed by the department professors, ensuring the program's success.
