Department of Computer Applications & Computer Science celebrate "World Computer Literacy Day" organized Skill enhance Programme on "Digital Learning Drive". A skill development programme titled “Digital Learning & Driving” was conducted today (02.12.2025) at 9:30 AM in the Ave Hall on behalf of the Department of Computer Applications and Computer Science, in connection with World Computer Literacy Day at Thanthai Hans Rover College, Perambalur. The programme was presided over by Dr. K. Varadharajan, Chairman of the Educational Trust. Vice-Chairman, Mr. John Asok Varadharajan led the event. Principal Dr. K. Ravichandran, Vice-Principal Mr. Sivakumar, Head of the Department Dr.V. Poongodi, and Dean of Science Dr. Manimaran participated and graced the occasion. The Chief Guest of the programme, Mr. P. Ramanathan, Professor, Department of Computer Applications, delivered a special lecture on topics including digital learning methods, usage of online educational platforms, cyber security, and basic concepts of artificial intelligence. He emphasized that digital education is essential for students in the present era, and that these scientific and technological skills play a major role in employment opportunities and competitive exam preparation. The event was well organized and coordinated by Mrs. R. Jothi, Professor, and Department of Computer Applications. Around 500 Third-year students from all departments participated and benefited from the programme. As part of the celebration, online quiz competitions were conducted, and prizes and certificates were awarded to the winners. The gathering was welcomed by Ms. Soumiya, second-year MCA, Computer Applications, and the vote of thanks was delivered by Ms. Karpagaratchambigai, second-year B.C.A.
