Pragadeeswaran, Psychiatric Social Worker, Athma Hospitals, Trichy in his session explained that Mental and physical health are interconnected, influencing overall well-being. In his session, he elaborated on the following: A healthy mind ensures emotional stability, problem-solving skills, and resilience. However, mental distress, substance abuse, and social isolation negatively impact individuals, particularly youth. Addiction, risky behaviors, and technological overuse further contribute to psychological issues. Mental health disorders affect millions, yet treatment remains inaccessible to many. Awareness, motivation techniques, and professional support are essential to breaking the cycle of distress. Promoting mental health through education, self-care, and strong support systems can improve lives. Prioritizing mental well-being ensures a healthier and more balanced society. 137 postgraduate and undergraduate students from the departments of Social Work, Commerce and Management Studies participated in the programme. The participants interacted with the resource person and clarified their doubts regarding managing self effectively and maintaining well being. The programme was wound up with the vote of thanks of Dr.K.Anitha, Assistant Professor of Commerce and member of Students Counseling Cell. The Master of Ceremony was Ms.P.T Arivuchudar, I MSW.
