Department of Zoology organizes International Seminar on " The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Advancing Scientific Research and Higher Education". The Department of Zoology has organized a one day International Seminar on “The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Advancing Scientific Research and Higher Education” for life science students, on 04.07.2025 at AVE Hall. Dr. K.Varadharaajen, Founder and Chairman, Roever Group of Institutions presided over the gathering. Prof. Muthusamy Ramakrishnan, Bamboo Research Institute, Nanjing Forestry University, China served as the resource person. He delivered an insightful talk on “The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Advancing Scientific Research and Higher Education.” He began by emphasizing the importance of programming languages, followed by a discussion on the role of AI in higher education. He also explored AI applications in genome biology, genome assembly, and the use of transposons. Furthermore, he highlighted the significance of English language proficiency for effectively utilizing AI tools and his willingness to share his extensive experience with our student was invaluable. We believe his teachings have left a lasting impact on the attendees and motivated the students. Faculty members of the department of Zoology organized the programme. The Principal Dr.K.Ravichandran delivered the felicitation address. The vice Principal Dr.K.Sivakumar delived keynote address. The Dean of Science Dr.S.Manimaran honoured the Resource Person. Dr. A. Rajesh Head, Department of Zoology welcomed the gathering. Dr.O.Basith, Assistant Professor of Zoology proposed the vote of thanks. More than 100 students from computer science, computer applications and life science of our college have participated and benefited through this programme.
