The Management , Faculty and Students of  our college solicit your esteemed presence on the occasion of " Fresher's Day " ( 38th Batch).   #THRC-NEWS : 38th Welcome Ceremony for the Freshers The welcome ceremony for the Undergraduate Freshers of the academic year 2022-2023 was held at Thanthai Hans Roever College (Autonomous) on 27.07.2022 at 10 am in the Convention hall. First year students, parents, Heads of the departments and professors participated in the ceremony. Dr.A.Kaliyamurthy, Former Superintendent of Police and a great motivational speaker graced the occasion as a special guest. In his keynote address, he said, "Education alone elevates a man from birth to death. One would rather be unborn than uneducated. He who bows his head before books will rise with enlightenment everywhere." He also added that rich children are born rich and grow rich.Poor children are born and then grow rich. So Education is the only thing that gives pride to that development. He advised the students by quoting the words, 'Learning is better than begging'. Dr.K. Varadharaajen, Founder-Chairman, Roever Group of Educational Institutions presided the ceremony by lighting the lamp. In his presidential address, he emphasized that there is nothing one can't do and one can achieve any goal if he/she works hard. Mr. John Ashok Varadharajen, Vice Chairman and Mrs. Mahalakshmi Varadharajen,Trustee also graced the occasion. Dr.M.Jayanthi, Principal welcomed the gathering.Dr.A.Mahendran, Vice Principal proposed vote of thanks. Dr.G.Senthilraja, Head of the Tamil Department; Dr.F.Mary Bridgith, Head of the English Department; Dr.T. Maheshwari and Dr.M. Muthumaran, Assistant Professors of Tamil hosted the entire programme. The Bible verses were read by Dr.Sumathi Franklin, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce. The Heads and professors of all the departments had made arrangements for the ceremony. The first-year students were felicitated with bouquets by the second and third-year students.
