Date:27-09-24              Place: AVE Hall                              Time:2.45pm The IQAC Cell of Thanthai Hans Roever College (Autonomous), Perambalur, organized a Faculty Development Programme titled “A Teacher’s E.Q” for faculty members from various departments on 27th September 2024 at 2:45 pm in the AVE Hall. Mr. M. Jamal Mohamed Jaffar, Director-Academics at Jamal Mohamed College of Teacher Education, Tiruchirappalli, served as the resource person. He expertly guided the audience through the concept of emotional quotient (E.Q.), its components, and its application in educational settings. During the session, Mr. Jaffar emphasized that emotional intelligence is a critical asset for teachers, as it significantly influences student-teacher relationships, classroom management, and student motivation. His insightful address highlighted the crucial role E.Q. plays in enhancing teaching effectiveness. The event saw the participation of 120 faculty members, all of whom benefited from the seminar. The programme was inaugurated by Dr. K. Varadharaajen, Founder-Chairman of the Roever Group of Institutions, Perambalur, and presided over by Dr. S. Sivakumar, Principal (i/c). The programme was organized by Dr. J.A.A. Jerald, IQAC Coordinator. Overall, it was a thought-provoking and engaging event that delved into the importance of emotional intelligence in teaching, leaving a lasting impact on the participants.
