Tamilnadu State Council for Science and Technology, Technology Information, Forecasting and Assessment Council & Thanthai Hans Roever College(A) cordially invites you for State Level Workshop on "From Filing to Fortune: Transforming IP into Competitive Business Advantage". A State Level Workshop – IPR Cell Tamilnadu State Council for Science and Technology, Govt. of Tamilnadu, Chennai with Technology Information, Forecasting and Assessment Council, Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of India and Thanthai Hans Roever College (Autonomous), Perambalur jointly organized a State Level Workshop on “From Filing to Fortune:  Transforming IP into Competitive Business Advantage” at the college A. V. E. hall on March 11, 2025  at 2:30 p.m. Founder Chairman,  Roever Group of Institutions, Dr. K. Varadharaajen presided over the workshop while the Vice Chairman, Roever Group of Institutions, Mr. John Ashok Varadharajan, lead the event. Dr. P. Sivagurunathan, Deputy Director, Centre for Intellectual Property Rights, Annamalai University was the chief guest for this state level workshop. He delivered his lecture on the topic “From Filing to Fortune:  Transforming IP into Competitive Business Advantage”. In his special address, he explained about the process of obtaining a patent from research and its five categories. Furthermore, he added the does and don'ts based on the patent. He illustrated with some evidence to obtain a patent easily.He also demonstrated the ways to obtain patents for inventions, process models and articles. The Principal of the college, Dr. K. Ravichandran contributed the felicitation address. Dr. S. Sivakumar, Vice-Principal of the college introduced the chief guest. Dr. K. Maruthadurai, Dean of Arts and Dr. S. Manimaran, Dean of Science also graced this occasion with their presence.Dr. P. Ramanathan, Assistant Professor of Chemistry & IPR Coordinator of the College welcomed the gathering and Mrs. M. Suguna, Assistant Professor of English, proposed the vote of thanks. More than 125 faculty members participated and got benefitted through this workshop.
