The Department of Zoology, Thanthai Hans Roever College (Autonomous), Perambalur, organized a one-day International Seminar on “Global Perspectives and Future Outlook on Wildlife Ecology” on 23rd January 2026 at AVE Hall. Dr. K. Varadharaajen, Founder and Chairman of Roever Group of Institutions, Perambalur, presided over the function. Dr. John Ashok Varadharajen, Vice-Chairman, also attended and graced the occasion. Dr. K. Ravichandran, Principal,Dr. S. Sivakumar, Vice-Principal, and Dr. S. Manimaran, Dean of Science felicitated the function. Dr. A. Ananth, Head of the Department of Zoology, welcomed the guests and the gathering. The first special lecture was delivered by Prof. Gomathinayagam Subramanian, AA, Director, University of Guyana Berbice Campus, Tain, Berbice, Guyana, South America. His lecture titled “Green Management Strategies Based on Biological Approaches” focused on biological solutions for sustainable environmental management from a global perspective. The second special lecture was delivered by Dr. K. Kumar, Assistant Professor of Zoology, PG & Research Department of Zoology, A.V.V.M. Sri Pushpam College (Autonomous), Poondi, Thanjavur District. His talk entitled “Embracing the Nature (Towards Wildlife Education)” emphasized the significance of wildlife education and conservation awareness among students. The seminar witnessed the active participation of around 200 students, along with faculty members and research scholars. The interactive sessions facilitated meaningful discussions on wildlife ecology, conservation strategies, and future research directions. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks followed by the National Anthem. The International Seminar was successfully organized and received appreciation from all participants.
