PG & Research Department of Biotechnology Organize a International Conference on "Research Avenues in Life Science: Challenges and Opportunities(IC_RALCO-2025).   *Report on the International Conference on Life Science Innovations for Sustainable Living (IC-LSISL-2025)*   The International Conference on Life Science Innovations for Sustainable Living (IC-LSISL-2025) was successfully conducted on 13th and 14th August 2025 at Thanthai Hans Roever College (Autonomous), Perambalur. The two-day event was jointly organized by the PG and Research Department of Microbiology and the Department of Botany, in association with Ruellia Bio Innovations and Origene Biosolutions. The conference was meticulously coordinated by Dr. R. Anburaj, Head of the Department of Microbiology and Organizing Secretary, along with Dr. G. Jeevanandham, Assistant Professor of Botany and Co- Organizing Secretary, with the active involvement of the organizing committee, including faculty members from the Departments of Microbiology. *Inaugural Ceremony* The conference commenced with an auspicious lamp-lighting ceremony and was graced with the Chief Presidential Address by Dr. K. Varadharaajen, Founder & Chairman, Roever Group of Institutions, who also honoured all the distinguished guests of the event. The Presidential Address was presented by Dr. K. Ravichandran, Principal, Thanthai Hans Roever College. The Inaugural Address was delivered by Prof. Dr. K. Kathiresan, Honorary Professor, Former Dean & Director, UGC-BSR Faculty Fellow (Professor-Emeritus), Centre of Advanced Study in Marine Biology, Annamalai University. Eminent academicians were felicitated during the ceremony, including Dr. A. Panneerselvam, Former Associate Professor, AVVM Sri Pushpam College; Dr. S. Ravikumar, Senior Professor & Head, School of Marine Sciences, Department of Oceanography and Coastal Area Studies, Alagappa University, Thondi Campus. Dr. S. Sivakumar, Vice-Principal and Dr. S. Manimaran, Dean of Science Thanthai Hans Roever College. A conference book was released during the inaugural session, marking an important milestone in the event. *Scientific Sessions* The scientific programme featured keynote speeches and invited lectures from distinguished experts across diverse domains of life sciences. Prof. Dr. K. Kathiresan, Honorary Professor and Former Dean & Director, UGC-BSR Faculty Fellow (Professor-Emeritus), Centre for Advanced Studies in Marine Biology, Annamalai University, delivered the Keynote Address I on “Climate Resilient Innovation and Ecosystem Restoration”. Dr. S. Ravikumar, Senior Professor & Head, School of Marine Sciences, Department of Oceanography and Coastal Area Studies, Alagappa University, Thondi Campus, presented the Keynote Address II on “Marine Science Innovations for Sustainable Living”. Dr. A. Selva Prabhu, Scientist-B, DHR-ICMR-VDRL, Institute of Microbiology, Madurai Medical College, delivered Invited Lecture I on “Microbiology as an Emerging Aspect in Human Healthcare”, while Dr. S. Raja, Project Scientist-III, Atal Centre for Ocean Science and Technology, NIOT, Ministry of Earth Sciences, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, presented Invited Lecture II on “Biotechnological Applications of Marine-Derived Fungi”. On Day 2, Dr. P. Santhanam, Professor, Department of Marine Science, Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli, delivered Keynote Address III on “Aquamimicry and Aquaponics: A Sustainable Circular Bioeconomy Technology”. Dr. R. Muthezhilan, Professor, Department of Marine Biotechnology, AMET University, Chennai, presented Invited Lecture III on “Marine Microbes for Sustainability”, and Dr. C. Ravinder Singh, Chief Scientist – Research and Innovation, Aakash Plantations LLC, Dubai, UAE, concluded the scientific sessions with Invited Lecture IV on “Plants for Human Welfare”. *Participation & Presentations* The programme also included oral and poster presentations, enabling researchers, faculty members, and students to share their innovative findings. The conference saw the active participation of nearly 300 students, who benefited greatly from the knowledge and exposure to cutting-edge advancements in life sciences and sustainable technologies. *Valedictory Ceremony* The valedictory session featured an inspiring address by Dr. C. Ravinder Singh, who urged participants to transform their research into practical solutions for society. Dr. R. Anburaj, Organizing Secretary, welcomed the gathering, and Dr. G. Jeevanandham, Co-Organizing Secretary, proposed the vote of thanks. Certificates and awards were distributed to the winners of the oral and poster sessions.
