Guest Lecture

PG & Research Department of English Shakespeare club organize on Guest Lecture on "Shakespeare Women: Age cannot Wither, nor Custom Stale His Infinite Variety". Shakespeare Club and PG & Research Department of English of Thanthai Hans Roever College (Autonomous), Perambalur have organized a Guest Lecture on 30th August 2023 at 11.00 a.m. Dr.A.Velusamy, Assistant Professor of English, Government Arts College, Ariyalur, was the invited Chief guest and delivered special address on the title, "Shakespearean Women: Age cannot Whither, nor Custom Stale His Infinite Variety". In his special address, he briefed about the women  characters created by William Shakespeare and how his writings still look afresh. He added that, Shakespearean women are powerful and ahead of time. He engaged the students by providing them with crossword puzzles based on Shakespearean coinages, to which the students showed their active participation.   More than 50 students participated in this event. Dr.K.Varadharaajen, Founder & Chairman of Roever Group of Institutions, presided over the gathering. Dr.M.Jayanthi, Principal and Dr.S.Sivakumar, Vice Principal of the college, offered felicitations. Mr.P.Abraham, Head of the department of English and the faculties of the department were also present. The program was organised by Mr.V.Renganathan Coordinator and Ms.T.Tamilroja Assistant Coordinator, of Shakespeare Club. Ms.E.S.Adhirai of I B.A. English introduced the chief guest. Mr.R.Mageshkumar of III B.A. English welcomed the gathering and Mr.D.Prakash Raj of II B.A. English proposed vote of thanks. Mr.R.Logeshwaran of III B.A. English and Ms.P.Sharmila of I M.A. English mastered the ceremony.
