The Department of Hotel Management has started in 2004 and has emerged into a job oriented course in our institution. It has produced 13 batches of graduate professionals and most of them are placed at National level and International levels. It is well equipped with advanced training kitchen, bakery lab and restaurant. The main attraction of the course is organizing various professional training (IET) and placement to all the students during the study period. Hotel Industry is considered to be the fast growing all around the world along with tourism destination and travelers. It dominates most job offering management where hotelier, travelers, tourism related corporate companies are involved in proving hospitality and satisfaction of visit to various travelers. India itself consists larger accepted and attractive tourism destination with multi-cultural base of history and modern empowerment cities. Economic growth in Indian tourism has remarkably overwhelmed and many more international foreign hotels are already esteemed their business project involved in this country.
Indian foods, cultural ethics, traditional values, monuments, naturally diverse and gifted tourism destinations are always being the motivational factors which increase the quantity and quality of foreign visitors to our country. So it all brings many opportunities to the students who are studying hotel management.
Hotel management is ever evolving and grown industry mainly because it involves with food and hospitality to the customers those who are in various economical statuses. It also gives the blissful satisfaction to the hoteliers and customers regularly. In recent years it also provides various self-business opportunities to the students who complete their course and start business immediately with the practical and training knowledge provided during study.
Our food production lab is well equipped with all the latest catering equipment and appliance. The spacious and well ventilated kitchen lab helps the students to learn essentials of food production art case. International cuisines are mentioned in our food production lab with modern technique of cooking, precautions. The Importance of hygiene is also taught here.
Those sweet-smelling delicacies and tempting dishes are not a piece of cake to make! One requires certain skill sets and understanding to excel at the art of making food. At our Bakery and Confectionery Lab we assure to inculcate required skills to make excellent baked products and confectionery.
Our training restaurant (F & B service lab) is equipped with all the modern amenities which will be helpful for the students during their practical classes
Our Mock bar is equipped to train the students regarding the service of various alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and the preparation of various cocktails and mock tails. Students here learn pros and cons of beverage service and various bar operation, like bar management, bar operation, inventories, building procedure various garnishes etc.
We have framed up a Front office lab as per the hotelstyle to give a feel to the students as like hotel atmosphere
The front office is well equipped with all the necessary sectors as like hotel operations.
The department also provide housekeeping Practical training in its magnificent and well maintained Guest room and practical lab. The lab is well equipped with all the modern equipment and amenities. Housekeeping department feels pride to keep hotel a home away from home; this is what emphasis is made in their practical session.
There are many exciting jobs opportunities for hotel management graduates with the increasing competition in the hotel industry. Since a hotel has many departments such as Operations, Front Office, Food and Beverages, Accounting, Sales and Marketing, Engineering/ Maintenance, Security etc. one can opt for a field of their liking and pursue a career and successfully grow in it.
