Academics Of Zoology

The Department of Zoology started in the year 2018 at the undergraduate level, with a team of well qualified, experienced and energetic faculty provided the right platform for the students to have a strong fundamental knowledge on the biology of animals. The current areas of interest in Biology have been incorporated into the curriculum to make our students compete globally. The curriculum is revamped once in 2 years to suit the requirements of higher studies and job opportunities. The department has organized international conference and workshops, hands-on training in various fields of Biological Sciences. The department invites various resource persons from universities, colleges and research institutes. To make education “Student centric” all Skilled based elective courses Sericulture, Ornamental fish farming and Vermiculture have been converted to Practical oriented programmes with a thrust on field visits. These courses promote practical skills, entrepreneurship and employment. Students have participated in many Intra and inter-collegiate competitions and won many prizes. Students have also excelled in sports, NCC and NSS.

Programme Offered

The department offers the following programmes:

Under Graduate Programme:

  • B.Sc Zoology

Vision

  • To impart a sound knowledge on faunal Biology to meet the global challenges
