The college library block has opened in the year 1985. Separate building for the Central Library and its total carpet area is 4224.73sqt, which is eco-friendly with peaceful atmosphere. The modern computerized library has more than thirty thousand volumes of books covering various areas of computer science, Life Science, Arts and Management. The documents in the library are arranged according to the Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) 19th edition. It has subscriptions of more than hundred National & International Journals. The many English and Tamil Newspapers are also subscribed for the enlightments of both staff and students.

The many English and Tamil Newspapers are also subscribed for the enlightments of both staff and students. The computerized catalogue could be assessed in the library and fully automated NIRMALS Software has been installed for the purpose of library automation. We have a Bar-coding facility for Circulation and Gate Entry System. We have a separate Library for MBA Department. The working methodology of library such as acquisition of books, circulation control, and cataloguing and serials control have been automated using integrated software. Open access system is implemented in the library. A modern digital library network with a high-speed internet access is also stored in the premises. Separate sections for Reference, Periodicals, Project Reports and Question banks are provided for easy access.
At Thanthai Hans Roever College, we believe that true education extends beyond the four walls of the classroom. Sports and physical education are vital components of holistic development, fostering discipline, teamwork, and perseverance. Our college offers extensive infrastructure for both indoor and outdoor games, encouraging every student to lead a healthy and active lifestyle.
Our football ground, built to standard dimensions, provides the perfect setting for practice and intercollegiate matches. The volleyball and basketball courts are vibrant spaces that promote coordination, balance, and team spirit through regular tournaments and friendly games. The kabaddi and kho-kho grounds uphold our cultural heritage by motivating students to participate in traditional Indian sports with enthusiasm and strategy.
The hockey and cricket grounds serve as major sporting arenas, hosting training sessions and tournaments that enhance endurance, precision, and teamwork. Similarly, the tennis and ball badminton courts offer opportunities for both recreational and competitive play, improving agility and focus.
Indoor facilities such as the chess arena, carrom room, and table tennis hall provide students with platforms to sharpen their intellect, reflexes, and concentration while enjoying healthy recreation. Our multi-purpose gymnasium, equipped with modern fitness machines, supports students in achieving their fitness goals through guided training programs. The athletics track further nurtures stamina, strength, and sportsmanship through various running and field events.
Education cannot take its precise shape if life away from classrooms is not healthy and peaceful. And while studying, the student’s life away from classrooms will generally be at hostels or their home. Our institute has separate hostel facilities for boys and girls with state-of-the-art facilities inside the college campus. The College has a hostel named after the Father of the Institutions as “Thanthai Hans Roever Hostel”. It has adequate high security and good discipline. Each room has an attached bathroom. The students who are not staying with the parents shall reside in the college hostel as per college rules. The hostels are located inside the college campus and have a separate hostel office and mess within the hostel premises. The mess has a centralized renovated kitchen and a separate dining hall for boys and girls.
Apart from the computer laboratories setup for syllabus programs the Institutes have provided computer centers for general purposes and learning during extra hours. This includes Internet Facilities available through leased line and Wi-Fi for providing continuous and uninterrupted internet connectivity to students and faculty members. These facilities are also available to students beyond college hours for preparation of seminars & projects and research-orientated work. We have local area wireless technology which allows an electronic device to exchange data or connect to internet using 150mbps in our college campus and in UG and PG hostel.
The students while traveling in the college bus must behave in a decent manner. They should not create any problem with the driver or cleaner. The buses will stop only at the stage that is fixed by the transport division. The students Co-operation is expected for the smooth functioning of the transport facilities extended towards them.
