The Skill Development & Placement Cell of Thanthai Hans Roever College (Autonomous) was formed in the year 2004 which brings about the synergy between the students & their mentors, who have exposure & access to the industrial avenues. On the one hand the placement cell is involved in activities like placement and frequent personal interaction with students which basically helps to understand & realize problems of the students at ground level. It helps to guide the students effectively to have a better future.
The placement cell gives priority to train the students for placement process; it involves interview techniques, aptitude and self-presentation skills. This training is imparted to all the pre-final year students.
We ensure that every student is trained according to industry standards before they appear for campus recruitment. We also ensure that every student is counselled properly in regards of choosing career options.
Maximum interview exposures are provided to the students till he/she gets placed. We are predominantly present in all industrial sectors in order to bridge the gap of industry and better professionals in today’s scenario. We believe in shaping future and making good professionals.
We follow a distinctive approach and tutorial system which underpins a culture of close academic and personal supervision. At our college, we provide a supportive and stimulating environment. Students interact closely with their lecturers and fellow students, sharing ideas and opinions. Our programs more closely reflect on individual interests and skills and require a degree of independent thinking and study.
The student profile is a vibrant mix from diverse backgrounds and thus gives the batch a new outlook to ideas and situations. Our alumni are reputed and hold offices in the most esteemed organizations worldwide. The faculty consists of distinguished and learned academicians and practitioners who provide students not only with theoretical knowledge but also guide them with practical examples and projects. The students also get the privilege of interacting with guests from the industry who have achieved various accolades in their respective work fields.
THRC focuses not only on professional development but also prepares individuals to undertake social responsibilities through community service programs. Industry visits, workshops, and co-curricular programs are a regular feature in the respective program.

We shape those who shape the World and Placement Cell in the THRC plays a vital role and is becoming a key cell of the college. As there are large numbers of Arts and science and Management colleges coming up in India, the competition for employment is increasing every day and the job of placement is becoming a challenging one. A fullfledged placement cell is functioning in our college with a full time placement officer. Our Training and Placement Office is performing the following activities:
For placement a large number of prospective employers are contacted during the year and efforts are made to invite those companies to visit our college and to conduct campus recruitments. The objective of the SD&P Cell is to look for a 100% employment of all the students. The Training & placement Cell ensures and takes care to provide the best arrangements and hospitality for the visiting company’s officials.
In addition to campus placements the SD& P section organizes programs mock interviews, group discussions, case studies, etc.
The Skill Development and placement cell activities are administered by assessing the caliber of the students and by matching with their desire and strengths. The students are given a clear picture about the Job market, job opportunities in various sectors. This activity focuses on building an effective career of the students by developing the skill sets for getting success in that particular career. The influence of personality upon the functional efficiency of a student its impact in building her career is well understood and hence the Cell organizes periodic personality development programs.
It assists the students to specifically design themselves and to cater to the demands of corporate world. Mentoring is designed to help students to achieve academic excellence by monitoring them closely and by establishing homely environment. It also includes managing stress, improving communication skills, developing confidence, exploring themselves, identification of values, resolving a personal problem interests and personal strengths needed for decision-making.
The placement officer with the placement coordinator representing each department has a regular personality development programme for I year students II year students on Career guidance and Leadership Programs and PG and III year students on Group discussion, Personal Interview, Resume preparation, Employability skills, Corporate Expectations, Personal Grooming and Etiquettes.
Training and placement cell regularly conducting sessions on Positive attitude, Self-Confidence, Inter personal skills, Team building, Aptitude test preparation, Goal setting, Public Speaking, Group discussion, Frequently asked questions in Interview, Resume preparation, Corporate Expectation, Employability skills, Mock interview, Mock Group discussion., etc. were taught by placement officer.

The Skill Development and Placement Cell of Thanthai Hans Roever College, Perambalur organized a One Day Orientation programme titled “How to get ready for Civil Service Exams? For the second year students of various departments on 12th August, 2022 at 10.00 am in the AVE Hall. Dr. Agri M. Madhavan, Founder, VRM IAS Academy, Perambalur, Mr. S. Rajathilagam and Mr. P. Sethupathi, Faculty Trainers, VRM IAS Academy, Perambalur served as the resource persons. Totally 156 students participated in the orientation programme.

The Department of Commerce and Skill Development and Placement Cell of Thanthai Hans Roever College, Perambalur jointly conducted a Career Counseling programme titled “An Insight into India’s Top Accounting Designation CA/CMA/CS & Importance of Softskills” exclusively for the students of Commerce department on 20th September, 2022 at 10.00 am in the AVE Hall. CA.A.K. Srinivasan and Er. Vijay Ravi, Directors, AKS Academy, Salem served as the resource persons. Totally 321 students participated in the counseling programme.

The Skill Development & Placement Cell of Thanthai Hans Roever College organized a Placement Drive on 16th February 2023 at 10.00 am in the college campus. The AGEAS Federal Life Insurance Co.Ltd., Coimbatore conducted the interview for the post of Agency Leader. A written test, Group Discussion and a personal interview were conducted for 128 students who participated in the drive. Finally 52 students were placed. A team along with the Senior Agency Leader Ms. Sahana from AGEAS Federal Life Insurance Co.Ltd., conducted the interview for the students.

The Skill Development & Placement Cell of Thanthai Hans Roever College organized a Placement Drive on 12th April 2023 at 10.00 am in the college campus. The Hanon Systems Pvt. Ltd., Chennai conducted the interview for the post of Trainee. A written test, Group Discussion and a personal interview were conducted for 138 students who participated in the drive. Finally 63 students were placed. A team along with the Senior Recruiter Mr. Daniel Raja Dhuruvan from Hanon Systems Pvt. Ltd., conducted the interview for the students.

The Skill Development & Placement Cell of Thanthai Hans Roever College organized a Placement Drive on 9th March 2023 at 11.30 am in the college campus. CHELLAM MOTORS PVT. LTD., Trichy conducted the interview for the post of Sales Representative. Aptitude Test and a Personal Interview were conducted for 52 students who participated in the drive. Finally 12 students were placed. Senior HR Mr. S. Sathyanarayanan from Chellam Motors Pvt. Ltd., along with his team members conducted the interview for the students.
Skill Development and Placement Cell, Thanthai Hans Roever College (Autonomous) organized a Job offer letter distribution ceremony for the students on 30.05.2022 at 11.30 am at AVE Hall. Mr.John Ashok Varadharaajen, Vice Chairman, Roever Group of Institutions delivered the special address and distributed the offer letters to 152 students. In his special address, he applauded the students for their placement in various companies and briefed the professional discipline to the students.
